About Us

The Barnett Funeral Home has a long history of service to the Cameron County area. It dates back to 1977 when it was founded by Edward Barnett. The funeral home was purchased in July 2006 by John “Bo” Cappiello.

Bo has been a licensed director since 1987. He graduated from Penn State University and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He is married to Lorraine “Fuzzy” Kennedy Cappiello. Fuzzy serves as office manager and supports him in many ways in the operation of the funeral home. They both grew up in Ridgway, PA, and have been married since 1986. They have five children: Caroline, Hannah, Jennifer, Ben and Hank and eleven grandchildren.

Ted Walters has been an assistant at Barnetts for over 30 years. He resides above the funeral home and is a great asset to the business.
