Richard E. Lancaster
Richard E. Lancaster, 75, Emporium, PA passed away at home with his family on Monday morning (August 30, 2021). He was born in Syracuse, New York a son of the late Edward and Marian Wood Lancaster.
He was a 1968 graduate of the University of Georgia School of Forestry. After graduation he enlisted in the US Army, serving in Vietnam during 1969. He retired from the Commonwealth of PA Bureau of Forestry where he was an Assistant District Forester on the Elk State Forest for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lynn Lancaster, his daughter Jennifer and her husband Robert Grossi of MaCungie, PA, and his son Marc Lancaster, of Pittsburgh, PA. He is also survived by his grandsons Matthew and Benjamin Grossi. He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no service or visitation.

I am sorry for your loss. I worked alongside Dick in the Elk State Forest. I admired his work ethics. He will be greatly missed.

We had the pleasure of knowing Richard when he was at the Forestry Office as well as during retirement when he would volunteer at the Food Pantry. He was a caring and giving person. Our prayers and condolences.
